Just remember that while the numbers may be high, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you can stay out in the sun 60 times longer. Instead, what this means is that you will be protected 60 times more. There is a huge difference here. If you listen to your morning weather forecast, they may tell you that today you will burn quickly. If they say 10 minutes will burn your skin, then a sun cream with an SPF of 60 will protect you for 600 minutes. This is only if you don’t perspire or go swimming. If you don’t go swimming, you will certainly sweat, and thus, if you do, then your protection time is drastically reduced, and you should re-apply every 2 hours.
